We are a small hobby farm based out of San Angelo, Texas. We specialize in Nigerian Dwarf Goats. Infinite Stars Ranch is owned by Ben and Amanda Pollitt.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We do not collect personal data on individuals who access our site and do not leave any comments. We collect an individuals full name, physical address, telephone number, and email address when the individual wishes to purchase a goat from us. Their name and physical address are required for the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) and American Goat Society (AGS) application forms/bill of sale. If the individual opts to utilize Venmo or PayPal for payment, then those websites service privacy policies are applicable. We collect their telephone number and/or email address if they are purchasing a goat or requesting further information and to help with arranging transport after the sale.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Who we share your data with
If you choose to utilize PayPal or Venmo for payment processing, then you opt to share your data with them. We utilize your data for the ADGA/AGS applications/bill of sale but you choose to submit your information to those organizations for goat registry.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
We retain bill of sale documents for ten years from purchase date.
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, except in relation to the bill of sale. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
